‘What I like most about Bedford . . .’ Share YOUR ideas for 2029 Tricentennial on Bedford Day

September 16, 2021

The 300th anniversary of the founding of Bedford is still eight years away – specifically, Sept. 23, 2029.

The tricentennial celebration is actually closer than it looks since the committee is aiming to begin activities and events a year early, leading up to the big day.

But the town committee that has begun planning the commemoration wants residents and businesses to start keeping that milestone in mind. And the group’s volunteers will be in Booth 112 at Bedford Day on Saturday.

The committee is asking visitors to its booth to complete the sentence, “What I like most about Bedford is….” Entries will be eligible for prizes, including a reproduction of the Bedford Flag.

Also, there will be opportunities to submit suggestions for ideas and events to be considered for the year-long celebration.
