September 18, 2021 ~ Closing Bedford Day with Spectacular Fireworks

September 23, 2021
With thanks to the Bedford Fire Department for assuring the safety of the 2021 Bedford Day fireworks display

Bedford Day, 2021 ended with a spectacular fireworks display. Originally scheduled for July Fourth, 2020, the show was moved to Bedford Day and it proved a winner.

Starting at 7:30 pm, even Bedford’s youngest watched in wonder as shell after shell blasted skyward from the middle school playing fields before bursting into showers of sparkling color.

Happily, the waiting turnout gear wasn’t needed during the fireworks show

The fireworks were fantastic – far exceeded my expectations. I vote that all future displays only be on Bedford Day. Fewer of us are away, it’s more special for the town and the 7:30 start time is better for families with small children.
