Bedford Day has had a tradition of starting off the festivities with a 5k road race. After 25 years of the Danny Oates race, the page has turned. The Run for Matty Langone 5K road race is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 18.
About the Run for Matty:
Race in honor of Matty Langone who died from neuroblastoma at age 5. All proceeds from the race will go toward hospitals to enhance family resources, research for neuroblastoma and other childhood cancers, and other organizations that support families affected by cancer.
