Bedford Health Department is Offering Free Flu Shots and COVID-19 Vaccinations at Bedford Day

~ Submitted by the Bedford Health Department

The Bedford Health Department is offering free COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations at Bedford Day, Saturday, September 18, from 9 am – 12 pm.

Residents age 8 years and older can acquire a flu vaccine and residents age 12 years and older are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination.

A link to pre-register for the flu shots will be available in early September.

For both vaccinations, please bring ID and insurance cards and come to the big white tent behind the Town Center Building. When entering this area, considered clinical space, please remember that masks will be required to be worn.

Additionally at Bedford Day, an ambassador from the State’s Vaccine Ambassador Program will be on site to answer questions about COVID-19 vaccine efficacy and safety and will work to address vaccine hesitancy among the unvaccinated.

Please note that Emerson Hospital has informed us that they will not be able to participate in Bedford Day because of their COVID restrictions, so no health screenings will be conducted.

The Health Department will release vaccination registration information to the public as it becomes available and provide any updates on the Health Department website (link from www.bedfordma.gov), otherwise, you can contact the Health Department at 781-275-6507 for more information.
