Lt Col Thomas Maxwell, USAF (Ret) passed away on July 11, 2021. He proudly served in the United States Air Force rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel; his military honors included the prestigious Defense Superior Service Medal, a military decoration of the US Department of Defense usually awarded to generals and flag officers. He was a member of the Washington Ringing Society at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C and volunteered at Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge as well as at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Visiting hours were held on Sunday, July 18, at Bedford Funeral Home, with a funeral service on Monday, July 19, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and interment with military honors at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts.
