New Tree in Emerson Hospital Courtyard to Honor Care Team, Victims, and Survivors of Covid-19

A new tree will be added to the courtyard at Emerson Hospital on Monday, at the start of National Hospital Week

Emerson Hospital in Concord will honor victims and survivors of Covid-19 and the hospital’s entire care team with a special dedication ceremony Monday at noon.

A tree on the hospital campus courtyard will be dedicated. The event will be livestreamed via Facebook Live at facebook.com/emersonhospital, and a recording will be posted to www.emersonhospital.org for future viewing.

The ceremony is scheduled for the start of National Hospital Week.

“Throughout the pandemic, nurses became the connection between patients and families, the ones to hold the hand of a patient so they were not alone,” a hospital spokesperson stated, adding that nurses “could not deliver care without all members of the team who stepped forward despite the unknowns.”

A staff member commented that she is excited about the event, and “we hope this is the start to the healing process.”
