Garden Week ~ Day One: Time to Plan Your Plantings

Time to start planning those vegetable gardens!  Maybe you’ve already planted the cool weather veggies such as lettuce, scallions, carrots, and such.  Come the end of May (as long as we don’t get any more snow!) you can start putting the tomatoes and peppers and eggplant into your beds as well.

Add some herbs to your vegetable garden; they are pretty and they help repel the bad bugs and attract the good ones. This link to a helpful chart will get you started!

Adding some annual flowers, such as nasturtium, sweet alyssum, marigolds, and cosmos, will bring some beautiful color while attracting bees and butterflies.
