BHS Scores a Three-Game, Five-Day Softball Sweep over Boston Latin

Bedford High School completed a three-game, five-day softball sweep over Boston Latin School Friday, scoring seven runs in the first inning en route to a 17-5 win.

Coach Dennis Walsh’s Buccaneers bashed 14 hits, paced by leadoff hitter Ellie Mitchell, who went three-for-four with a double, three runs scored and three batted in.

Coco Steele and Maggie Carluccio anchored the bottom of the order, combining for four hits, four runs scored, and three RBI. Bella Fernald stroked a home run for Bedford.

Kaylee Grace and Katie Kranz divided six innings on the Gfroerer Field mound.

The girls return to action Monday at 4 p.m. at Cambridge Rindge and Latin
