Annual Town Meeting begins at 9 am TOMORROW MORNING ~ the gates to Sabourin Field open at 8

Ready, and waiting for you!

It’s nearly showtime: All of the board and committee meetings, discussions, and votes are done, and now it’s up to Bedford’s Resident Voters to decide on each of the 39 articles on the Warrant.

Town Manager Sarah Stanton tweeted on Friday afternoon, “Sun is shining. Chairs, tents, and AV are all set up. 500 packets printed. Town Meeting musical playlist full of sweet jams ready to go. It’s Town Meeting time, Bedford! Registration starts at 8 AM on Sabourin Field. Come for the democracy, stay for the potential tan.”

Warrants were mailed to each residence, or you can read it here, on the Town’s website, along with much additional information.

Organized by category, The Citizen posted Everything You Need to Know full of background material articles we’ve posted since January, starting with information for newcomers, logistics, recommendations from boards and committees, finances, zoning, infrastructure (capital projects that will be bonded), along with the letters to the editor regarding Article 34, an initiative to rename Columbus Day to Indigenous Peoples Day.

Word to the Wise

All of the presentations that would’ve been screened on the auditorium stage will need to be seen on your device, so watch them this evening, and download the ones you’ll want to watch again during the meeting.

Bring your loaded-up laptop or device with you, instead of scrambling for bandwidth while you’re trying to download them from Sabourin Field.

See you on Sabourin Field in the morning!
