It is an honor to endorse Alison O’Connell’s candidacy for a seat on Bedford’s Board of Health. Having known Alison for over 25 years, Bedford would be hard-pressed to find someone as articulate, intelligent, and well-suited for this role. Alison’s career has been devoted to fostering communication and bringing people together to make informed, data-driven decisions. She skillfully balances the need for finding resourceful solutions with the complexities of large-scale decision-making.
Alison passionately advocates for inclusive and logical practices with a steady eye toward progress. Her career in public health speaks for itself- serving as a consultant, director, and senior manager for several prominent healthcare groups, Alison is a natural advocate for community well-being. Given her training, Alison has experienced firsthand how the branches of public policy come together to guide positive outcomes for all.
Perhaps her greatest asset is Alison’s ability to translate data and details into a meaningful message— and one that she communicates with exquisite clarity. She sees challenges as opportunities, and sound public health as an investment in our future. I am certain that Bedford will find a dedicated and invaluable Board Member in Alison O’Connell.
