Snow Sculpture Contest ~ Through March 22, 2021

December 18, 2020
The 1991 Snow Sculpture contest winner, created by the Downs Family

Back in 1991, The Bedford Recreation Department held a Snow Sculpture Contest; the entries were outstanding and Bedford’s landscape took on a new look!

Because families are spending more time at home this winter, and even before nature dropped more than a foot of snow on Bedford this week, the Recreation Department thought that it would be fun to hold a Snow Sculpture contest this winter.

“We hope that you will brave the elements this winter,” said Recreation Director Amy Hamilton, ” and enjoy some time outdoors creating your own unique snow sculpture!”

Once you’ve built your snowman, fort, or sculpture, capture it on your phone and email it to [email protected]. Don’t forget to include your name, or everyone’s names if it’s a group adventure, along with everyone’s age.

The judging panel will select winners’ photographs based on originality and overall appearance, as well as the ages and number of participants.

The judging will take place on March 22, 2021, but photos may be from any time during Winter 2020~2021.

Submit your entry on your own, or with family, friends, or as a neighborhood!
