Reminder: Bedford’s Current Covid-19 Statistics Posted at 8 pm, Monday through Friday

November 23, 2020

There’s a new dashboard in town: Thanks to the efforts of Health and Human Services Director Heidi Porter, Fire Chief David Grunes, and Town Manager Sarah Stanton, a comprehensive look at Bedford’s coronavirus statistics is available on the Town website (and through a link at www.thebedfordcitizen.org as well!)

“The COVID-19 data presented in the dashboard is derived from the MA DPH’s Massachusetts Virtual Epidemiologic Network (MAVEN) and utilized for case investigation and surveillance purposes,” noted Stanton’s message on Friday. “While the Board of Health staff extracts data from MAVEN at a point in time, data is constantly being entered, transferred, updated, and corrected by MA DPH. As such, the data presented in the dashboard may vary from the online data tables provided by the MA DPH on their COVID-19 response reporting webpage.”

The data is updated at 8 pm each day, Monday through Friday.
