November 30, 2020

A variety of local cultural performances will be featured on Bedford TV Tuesday during its “Virtual Video Fundraiser” between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Viewers may watch any or all of the videos on Bedford TV’s YouTube channel and may donate throughout the day. Gifts may be made online or by mail to Bedford TV, 16 South Road, Bedford 01730.

The telethon coincides with “Giving Tuesday,” described as a global day or generosity. Half of the donations raised by Bedford TV will be directed to the Bedford Food Pantry.

Katie Duval, executive director, said one of the musical performances will feature the visual arts teacher at Job Lane School, Jen Ferrari, with family members. Others in the lineup will include Mia Asano playing the electric violin, Jennifer Guzca and her viola, and the Mitchell Family.

Also featured on video will be a demonstration of sewing masks by Danielle DiGangi as well as Deepa Srinath, artistic director at the Vaibhava Dance School, with traditional Bharatanatyam dance.

Duval said there will be children’s features as well, such as a story time from the folks at Chip-In Farm and “The Cow Goes Moo Shufle,” featuring Jim Petipas. Also on the agenda are some vintage segments from Bedford TV programming

Bedford TV is the town’s non-profit community-access television station. Its mission is “to make media available, reflective and responsive to the needs of the community.”
