Praying the Rosary for Peace ~ Bedford Common ~ Noon on Saturday, October 10

On Saturday, September 25, members of St. Michael Parish gathered on Bedford Common to pray the Rosary on behalf of the police; St. Michael the Archangel is the patron saint of police officers

Members of St. Michael Parish will gather on Bedford Common at noon on Saturday, October 12 to pray for “an end to the pandemic.” Also on their prayer list are “our country, peace in the world, and racial harmony and justice,” noted an organizer.

The October rally commemorates the 103rd anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun in Fatima Portugal. On October 13, 1917, Our Lady appeared to three shepherd children.  She asked them to say the rosary every day and to return to the site of her appearance on the 13th of each month for six months.  She promised a miracle so all would believe; the sun zigzagged in the sky for 10 minutes careening toward the earth, emitting radiant colors, and then went back into place.
