Bedford Leaders Tour Shawsheen Tech

February 7, 2020

Bedford Town Manager Sarah Stanton and John Glenn Middle School Principal Kevin Tracey joined Nancy Asbedian, one of Bedford’s representatives on the Shawsheen School Committee, for a tour of the 24 Vocational-Technical Programs offered to students at the school on Friday, January 31, 2020.

The tour was led by Shawsheen Tech Seniors Grace Clark of Bedford and Grace Farrell of Billerica.

Clark came to Shawsheen from John Glenn Middle School. She spoke about her many positive experiences at Shawsheen and in its Masonry program, as well as the opportunities that are ahead as she prepares for graduation this Spring.

The tour visited each vocational-technical cluster including arts and communication, construction, transportation, life sciences, manufacturing, and the services cluster.

Shawsheen is preparing to celebrate 50 years of exceptional service to the students of Bedford, Billerica, Burlington, Tewksbury, and Wilmington.  The school has been an integral part of the local community and economy, and it is proud of the many alumni that have gone on to become significant figures in the local businesses, industries, and professions.
