Behind the Scenes ~ The Bedford Citizen’s 2020 Voters Guide

February 19, 2020

An important town election is coming up on March 14, and at The Bedford Citizen, we’re taking Thomas Jefferson’s words to heart.   As soon as the lawns signs started to appear The Bedford Citizen started working with the Bedford League of Women Voters to create our first Bedford Voters Guide.

The Voters Guide will be made up of two parts.  The first part is information on the candidates in their own words.  The Bedford League of Women Voters developed questions relevant to the business before a given board and the candidates provided answers.  The second section will cover some of the major decisions to be made at Town Meeting in the form of articles that will also go online.

The Voters Guide is almost done and will be heading to the printer next week.  Look for it in your mailbox in early March.

Before the Guide arrives there are some important dates to keep in mind.

To vote in the upcoming election you must be registered.  The deadline for registration is THIS Saturday – February 22, 202o.  You can register at the Town Clerk’s office from 9 am to 8 pm. Please note that information about voter registration at the Police Station on Saturday is incorrect.
