First snow of the season: the Bedford Fire Station at the start of the December 1 storm

In addition to their regular work – extinguishing fires and providing emergency medical services, Bedford firefighters have taken on some additional responsibilities this holiday season.  Their Honor Guard presented the colors at a recent Boston Bruins game, they scooped ice cream sundaes at Boston Children’s Hospital, and they opened their annual Toys for Local Children drive.

During Saturday’s Winter Walkabout, Captain Sullivan will brew hot chocolate, both plain and with marshmallows, for station visitors.
