Three Printmakers, Three Friends: A Journey in Art and Friendship

Anita Feld, Maria Green, and Doris Smith have made art prints for several years. Together they have studied printmaking at the DeCordova Museum, Middlesex Community College, the Maud Morgan Center for the Arts, and other area printmaking workshops.

Each of the artists has her own distinctive style using woodblocks to create relief prints, as well as creating Intaglio prints.  Their themes include nature and places they have visited, along with experimenting with the different techniques of this medium.

The three were friends and artists before sharing a passion for printmaking.   They collaborate and share new techniques as well as critique their work together. A friendship has grown as they have continued down this path together.

Their art has been shown in local venues including the Bedford Free Public Library; the Belmont Gallery of Art; the Concord Public Library; the Concord Art Association and its annual Roddy Show; the [email protected] Parish in Bedford; Gallery Blink; Grace Chapel Art Gallery; the Lexington Public Library; the Mosesian Art Center; and Three Stones Gallery in West Concord.
