Robert D. McGrath passed away on October 15, 2019. A long-time resident of Bedford, Mr. McGrath retired as a Sergeant in the Bedford Police Department, where he served for 30 years. During his tenure, he was a President of the Bedford Police Association, Public Safety Officer, K-9 Officer, and for a time, he even wrote the police blotter. Mr. McGrath also served as President of the Bedford Athletic Association.
Visiting hours will take place from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, October 21, 2019, at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Road, Bedford.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Mr. McGrath’s life will begin at 11 am on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Road, Bedford.
