BHS Golf has a Rough Start to the Season

September 4, 2019
Sophomore Izzy Fisher nearly jumps out of her shoes teeing off. She won her group

Before the season had started BHS Golf Coach, Jim Nagle, told me that he thought they had a very deep and competitive team this year.  Nothing like starting the school year off and having a tri-meet on the first day of classes.

Weston’s Cooper Griffin and Jacob Finard dominated the first two groups giving Weston (71) the wins over Acton-Boxborough (64), and Bedford (55).

After the meet, Coach Nagle said, “It was not the start we were expecting, but leaves us motivated and more experienced. Bottom of the lineup held their own and won their groups.”

The bottom of the lineup included three Seniors: Cam Fallon, Gavin Doyle, and Zach Billouin.

Izzy Fisher, the lone Sophomore to make a start, won the last match of the day.

The Golf team continues the season on Friday with a meet against Cambridge Rindge and Latin.
