Submitted by the Town of Bedford

Bedford’s first Summer Solstice Festival is a free, family-friendly event featuring a German-style biergarten by Notch Brewery, food trucks, lawn games, and music. Relax and enjoy the beautiful and historic setting of the Town Common.

Six food trucks will be serving everything from dumplings to barbecue, including Moyzilla, The Cod Squad, The Whoo(pie) Wagon, Chez Rafiki, Papi’s Stuffed Sopapillas, and Uncle E’s BBQ Express. From 1 pm to 3 pm, enjoy music from local singer, Rick Skehan, featuring hits from the Rat Pack through the 90s.

Getting There

Biking and walking to the festival are encouraged. Ample bike parking is available at bike rack locations at the Town Common and nearby vicinity (see map below).  You can also take MBTA Bus 62 directly to the Town Common (check MBTA schedule for details).

If you drive, there is limited street parking near the Town Common. Drivers are encouraged to park at the Town Municipal Parking Lots at 10 Mudge Way and walk over to the Common.

Elm Street will be closed next to the Town Common for pedestrians and food trucks.

Details

The Solstice Festival will take place rain or shine although it may be rescheduled for later in the summer if there is severe weather. Check the Town of Bedford website for updates at https://www.bedfordma.gov .
