Town Government at Work for the Week of May 27, 2019

By Meredith McCulloch

Town Offices are closed on Monday, May 27 for Memorial Day, and trash/recycling collection will be on Tuesday. That said, there are meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday that residents may find interesting.

With two major items on their agenda, the Planning Board will meet in Town Hall at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, May 28. The Board will work on a recommendation to the Zoning Board of Appeals regarding the comprehensive permit for the Village at Bedford Woods. They will also work on a potential Bylaw for accessory apartments to be considered at Special Town Meeting in November.

Also on Tuesday, the Arbor Resources Committee will hear a report from the Department of Public Works about several projects that involve town trees. They will review Arbor Day, 2018, and look ahead to Bedford Day.

The Charter and Bylaws Review Committee will meet Wednesday at 7 pm at Town Hall for a general bylaw review with open discussion and comment by public and staff.
