Thanks to intrepid photographer and snow stick watcher Jeff Hoyland, Bedford received a touch more than 6 inches of snow before the sleet and rain arrived on Sunday, January 20, 2019
Hoyland posted an image of the stick on Saturday evening, showing just over a half inch of snow, and a baseline image showing no accumulation at 8 am on Saturday.
Sunday evening’s and Monday morning’s deep freeze assured that much of the icy white stuff will remain in place until heavy rains arrive on Thursday ushering in a January thaw, with possible high temperatures in the mid-fifties.
