The depth of talent in Bedford’s basketball programs seems endless. The JGMS Girls basketball team defeated Diamond Middle school in convincing style 42-24.  It seems that at every grade level, Bedford has some girls basketball players who are ready for prime time.  This year’s middle school team is 50/50 8th graders and 7th graders.

Charlotte Weber and Sydney Poor lead the Bucs with 10 points each. Sydney scored from the perimeter, while Charlotte shot from inside the paint.

The most impressive stat was that 10 out of 13 teammates scored for the Buccaneers including Amelia Griffin, Isabelle Wilson, Sydney Cagliano, Danielle DiGangi, Cassie Morrison, Bridget Sheahan, Carolyn Salem, Mackenzie Tierney, and Isabella Martin.  Everyone who hits the court is a threat to score.

The Girls next game is away, at Clarke Middle School on January 8.
