Surgery Rehab – Sure, but Prehab?

Submitted by the Bedford Council on Aging and the Board of Health

If you have joint (hip, knee, etc.) surgery coming up,  do you know one of the most important things you can do is exercise?

It sounds counter-intuitive, but it’s true.  The Bedford Board of Health in conjunction with the COA will be holding a seminar on the importance of pre-surgery exercise.

It has been shown that exercising before your scheduled surgery can improve the outcome and shorten the rehab.  Join us at the COA Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 10:30 am to find out the how’s and why’s.

*****Did you know that the COA has medical equipment available to borrow?  Wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and a lot more.  If you find you are in need of some help, call the COA 781-275-6825
