Race organizer Chuck Connell is busy preparing for Bedford’s 2018 Bedford Turkey Trot Run / Walk, set for 8 am on Thanksgiving morning. He accepted the handoff from Rich Hamilton earlier this year and is continuing the race’s friendly atmosphere as a great way to build up an appetite for Thanksgiving dinner, and to generate funds for the Bedford Food Pantry.
Participant Details
Although it is a USATF sanctioned event, Bedford’s Turkey Trot is is a friendly fun-run / walk as a fund-raiser for Bedford Food Pantry. There are no timing chips or VIP tents — just nice people, fun prizes and a good cause.
To register for the 5K run or the 2-mile walk participants must sign up online – https://racesonline.com/events/bedford-turkey-trot. There is no mail-in or walk-in registration. Because the roads are not closed, there is a limit of 250 runners, but there is no limit for walkers. First 200 registrations get a high-quality long-sleeve t-shirt!
All number pickup is at Callahan Karate on Wednesday, from 3 to 7 pm.
