Diehl for Senate Campaign Names its Bedford Coordinator, Dr. Eleanor Gorsey

Submitted by the Geoff Diehl Campaign

Representative Geoff Diehl, the endorsed Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, has announced that Dr. Eleanor Gorsey of Bedford will be joining the campaign as the Town Coordinator.

“I am extremely happy that Eleanor agreed to serve as our Town Coordinator.  Eleanor is a very hard worker and I know that she will help deliver a victory in Bedford,” said Diehl.

“I am proud to be part of the Diehl for U.S. Senate leadership team,” said Gorsey. “Geoff has been a great leader on fighting to lower our tax burden, requiring transparency at the State House, and demanding fiscal accountability within state government.”

Gorsey will organize area volunteers for door knocking, sign standouts, and getting out lawn signs. She will help deliver the message to voters that Geoff is the real Diehl for Massachusetts and that he will put people ahead of politics.

“Geoff has already delivered more for the Commonwealth as a State Representative than Elizabeth Warren has done as a United States Senator. I admire the courage he displayed taking on the special interest groups to successfully repeal automatic gas tax hikes. His efforts saved taxpayers $2 billion,” said Gorsey.

“I am committed to winning this to Town for Geoff. He is the only candidate with serious plans for ending illegal immigration, fighting the opioid epidemic, helping our veterans, keeping taxes low, and growing our economy. We need him in the Senate,” said Gorsey.

Diehl was the co-chairman for the ballot question that repealed the linkage of the gas tax to inflation.  If the law had remained in place, the gas tax would have increased every year.  Diehl has saved taxpayers from 3 gas tax hikes already.

“Massachusetts is too great for a part-time Senator.  We need a Senator who will focus on the citizens of the Commonwealth,” said Diehl.  “From the time you wake up in the morning and until you go to bed in the evening you should be working to help the people of Massachusetts.  I think people should come first ahead of oneself.  Our Senator needs to do their job by putting you first!”

Diehl won the Republican convention by a thirty point margin.  He has been earning many endorsements including: the Watertown Republican Town Committee, the Hanson Republican Town Committee, the Bourne Republican Town Committee, the East Bridgewater Republican Town Committee, the Dighton Republican Town Committee, Boston Ward 9 Republican Committee, the Somerville Republican City Committee, the Whitman Republican Town Committee, the Dracut Republican Town Committee, Representatives Shaunna O’Connell, Marc Lombardo, Jim Lyons, Lenny Mirra, Nick Boldyga and Peter Durant, former Presidential candidate Herman Cain, former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Youth Conservatives of Massachusetts, all of the Sudbury delegates to the convention, former New England Patriots Fred Smerlas, Steve Grogan, and Matt Light, Red Sox Champion Curt Schilling, and John Dennis, to name a few.  Diehl was the first candidate to receive a major law enforcement endorsement. The Norfolk County Correction Officers have thrown their weight behind Diehl.
