Looking ahead to SPRING and SUMMER: Friday’s flock of robins in the snow in front of the Middle School, Saturday’s annual Town Election, and Sunday’s start of Daylight Savings Time when our clocks ‘Spring Forward’ at 2 am. Another sign of spring comes as certain as clockwork at 9 pm on Sunday evening when online registration for Spring and Summer recreation programs opens.
The Recreation Department’s Spring/Summer brochure arrived in mailboxes on Friday, and it’s full of great options:
- Special events attached to each summer concert, from July 12 through August 2;
- Adult Softball and Men’s Basketball games, followed by tournaments to end the season
- Summer Adventures, a Bedford day camp tradition
- STEM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) that have increased according to demand
Be ready when online registration opens at 9 pm. Popular programs fill right up, often within the first hour, so make your list and be ready to beat the clock.
