“Neighbor Brigade creates a true sense of community here in town,” said David Bernstein, Owner and Principal of Bernstein Development, “It’s not something you really think about until you need help, but a town with a volunteer network like this is truly valuable and I’m honored to be able to support them.”

ABOUT NEIGHBOR BRIGADE
Neighbor Brigade establishes community-specific networks of volunteers that can be mobilized to help residents facing sudden crisis manage day-to-day tasks such as meal preparation, rides, and basic household chores. Pam Washek founded the organization in 2002 after her first bout with Cancer. Pam understood our shared human need for community and our need to care for and be cared by one another. She believed it was imperative not only for those who need the assistance, but for volunteers’ benefit as well. Pam lost her battle with cancer in 2012, but her legacy lives on in Neighbor Brigade.
The Bedford Chapter, lead by Chapter Leader Amy Mason, includes over 265 volunteers and has assisted 710 families since it was founded in 2009. Amy’s passion for the organization stems from her long time friendship with Pam. This passion has helped the Bedford Chapter grow to the vibrant organization it is today.

ABOUT BERNSTEIN DEVELOPMENT
