Lined up in their yellow boxes, Peeps® — springtime’s ubiquitous squishy, sugary treats — have hit the stores. Their presence is a sign that the Bedford Free Public Library’s annual Peeps® Diorama Contest is coming soon.
The contest is open to individuals or groups of all ages, with finished dioramas due at the Library by 6 pm on Tuesday, March 14.
Through March 21, the dioramas will be on display at the Library and visitors may vote for their favorites in the “Peep-le’s Choice” awards.
Prizes in several fanciful categories will be presented during a reception at 2:30 pm on March 22. All participants and Peeps® fans are invited to attend.

Each contestant or group is limited to a single entry. Possible categories include:

- Grades 9-12 and Adult
- Family (mixed ages)
Entries become the property of the Library, and may be used for public display.
Note: Entries must be picked up by 6 pm on Tuesday, March 28; otherwise they will be discarded (or eaten)!
TAG’s Diorama Craft Time
On March 1 and March 8, TAG, the Library’s Teen Activity Group, will work on Peeps® Dioramas! We supply the Peeps® and the craft materials; you just need the inspiration.
TAG is a weekly drop-in program for everyone in grades 6-12, Wednesdays starting at 1:30 pm. There is no registration needed – just drop in with your friends.
