Town Clerk Doreen Tremblay posted the voting machine tapes for each of Bedford’s precincts around 8:45 this evening, and she will post the final, official results on the town’s website later tonight.
Unofficial results indicate that Hillary Clinton topped Bedford’s Democratic ticket with 1,675 votes, followed by Bernie Sanders’s 1,356 votes. In the Republican contest, 654 votes were cast for Donald Trump, with 499 for John Kasich, 351 for Marco Rubio and 178 for Ted Cruz.
In all, more than 4,800 votes were cast. an approximate 24% increase over the 2008 primary.
The Bedford Citizen will share the official town results as quickly as they are posted to the Town’s website.
