The second night of Bedford’s 2016 Annual Town Meeting adjourned to a third night – Monday, April 4 – when the discussion of a new Town and School Communication System on the Capital Projects Plan will resume to complete consideration of Article 19.

Votes completed during the second session of Annual Town Meeting  on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 included:

Article 12
Zoning Bylaw Amendment – Building Height – Obtained a 2/3 majority to pass on a hand count vote

Article 13
Zoning Bylaw Amendment – Revised Flood Insurance Rate Maps – Passed unanimously on a voice vote

Article 14
Zoning Bylaw Amendment – Limited Business District – Petitioner’s article submitted by the Zoning Board of Appeals – Passed on a voice vote

Article 15
Bedford Business Zoning Appropriation – Passed on a voice vote

Article 16
Easement Acquisitions for Middlesex Turnpike and Great Road/Mudge Way Intersection – Passed unanimously on a voice vote

Article 17
Mudge Way Street Acceptance – Passed on a voice vote

Article 18
Bond Authorization – Job Lane School Addition – Passed unanimously and enthusiastically on a voice vote

Article 19
Proposed FY2017 Capital Projects Plan – Individual items passed on voice votes with the exception of the bond authorization for item 17-32, the Town and Schools Communication System. Item 17-32 will be the first order of business when the meeting reconvenes at 7:30 pm on Monday, April 4.
