Shouts of Happy Halloween! Happy Halloween! were heard ringing through the air on Friday. It was a perfect and warm fall afternoon for the annual Davis School Halloween Parade.
Following a special Halloween cafeteria lunch that featured bat shaped chicken nuggets, Principal Beth Benoit went classroom by classroom gathering costumed students, teachers, and staff for the lively procession down the stairs and out into the sunny afternoon and around the bus loop.
Parents, families and friends lined the route with shout-outs to their favorite ghouls, goblins and princesses. The parade was an inspired and terrific assortment of both home-constructed and purchased costumes. Some family members chose matching outfits. There were several recognizable favorite movie themed characters and examples of brightly colored hair in attendance.
Many classrooms invited family and friends back for Halloween themed activities and photos. Everyone agreed it was a wonderful and fun beginning to Halloween weekend.
Happy Halloween!
