The Middlesex Phantoms U-12 girls soccer team won the Natick soccer club’s 34th annual Columbus Day tournament, which was held on October 10th – 12th.

The Phantoms won their first three matches and then moved on to the finals where they beat Natick 3-0.  The first half of the final was closely contested by both teams, with heavy pressure by the Phantoms.  Just before the stroke of half-time the Phantoms pressure resulted in a goal.

Natick tried to rally in the second half, but the Phantoms countered with two more goals and was able to hold strong with a 3-0 victory.

The Middlesex Phantoms Soccer Club, a Bedford-based club soccer team with players from Bedford, Concord, Acton, Groton and Lexington, began in 1998 to provide a competitive yet reasonably-priced soccer club team experience for players who live in Bedford or nearby communities.
