Middlesex Community College To Host ‘Racism in Our Community,’ an Open Forum in Bedford on Tuesday, October 13

MCC logoAn open forum, Racism in Our Community, will take place from 11 am until 12:30 pm on Tuesday, October 13, at Café East on the Bedford campus of Middlesex Community College, 591 Springs Road. The program will repeat on the school’s Lowell campus from 12:30 until 2 pm on Wednesday, October 14. Both events are free and open to the public.

Sponsored by MCC’s Office of the Provost and Commonwealth Honors Program,each open forum will feature a panel presentation and community discussion to share information and promote dialogue about racism in our communities. The forum will focus on two recent incidents in Bedford and Lowell.

Forum panelists will include Binnur Ercem, MCC Professor of Social Sciences and Human Services; Reginald Nichols, Lowell Academic Advisor; and Maria McDuffie, MCC’s International Student Advisor.
