A first view inside the Red Heat Tavern: Although the ceilings are very tall, the restaurant may be more intimate than anticipated.

There will seating outside for nice weather; a lounge and bar area just inside the front door; with booths and tables in a dining room at the rear. An open kitchen will be visible along the side wall.

The opening is on schedule for November 9, with dinner service only during the first week.

General manager Stephen Arakelian and Culinary Director Alan Frati, are in Bedford this week to oversee construction but also to conduct interviews with potential staff members.  “Anyone interested can email me at [email protected], or just come down to the hiring office,” said Arakelian.

Red Heat Tavern is located in the extension to the rear building at the Bedford Marketplace on The Great Road, along with Whole Foods Market and Marshall’s. Lincoln Liquors and a recycling center for bottles and cans are in under construction and expected to open soon.
