Another Monday snowstorm, especially one on Groundhog Day itself, brings Bill Murray and the day’s eponymous movie to mind.
Phil may have seen his shadow earlier this morning in Punxsutawney, but it’s easy to think that local groundhogs remain in hibernation under today’s heavy snowpack.
Miss G, the official Massachusetts groundhog, made her prediction at Drumlin Farm today and (not surprisingly) didn’t see her shadow. Since her debut in 2008, Miss G’s predictions are statistically twice as accurate as Phil’s.
Red Sox Truck Day, the unofficial start of spring training? Tuesday, February 12, or ten days and counting. And for those of you who are keeping track of the seasons, spring officially begins on March 20 this year, just 6.5 weeks from today.
