Bedford Fire Department is Collecting Toys for Local Children until December 21

December 4, 2014

Submitted by John Guilfoil for the Bedford Police Department

Toys-for-LocalFire Chief David Grunes reports that the Bedford Fire Department has begun its annual toy drive. The department is asking town residents to please donate generously to ensure that every child receives a present on Christmas morning!

“It’s hard to believe, but Christmas is now less than one month away,” Chief Grunes said. “As we look to this special time of year, I hope everyone will dig deep to help a less fortunate family provide a special holiday for their children.”

As part of Bedford’s “Toys for Local Children” program, firefighters will be collecting new unwrapped toys from now through December 21. The toys are distributed to needy families throughout Bedford and surrounding communities.

To make a donation, bring your toys to the Bedford Fire Department at 55 The Great Road. Thank you and have a safe, and Happy Holiday Season!
