Bedford-Lexington AAUW Branch Members Serve on the AAUW-MA Board

AAUW-webRecently, five Bedford-Lexington Area Branch members attended the American Association of University Women-MA Annual Meeting and Conference that was held at Cape Cod Community College. This year’s theme was Access to Success: Women in Community Colleges. The keynote speaker was Patricia Fae Ho, AAUW National President.

The following Bedford-Lexington Area Branch members are now on the Board of the AAUW – Massachusetts: Ruth Ladd was elected Co-President. The current Treasurer is Robin DeMott and Karen Bragaw is a Member-at-Large.

AAUW is a nationwide, nonpartisan organization that uses its influential network to disseminate information, raise awareness, and effect change on women’s issues. AAUW is the largest non-government provider of scholarships for women. The Bedford-Lexington Branch has been serving local communities for over 50 years.

Monthly meetings will start again this September. They are free and are open to the public, with refreshments being served.
