The Middlesex Community College Foundation has presented Zachary Land, of Bedford, with the Robert Minue Memorial Scholarship for the 2013-14 academic year. He was presented the award at a recent ceremony on the Bedford campus.

Land is currently enrolled in MCC’s Business Administration Program. Entrepreneurship and small business are his passions, and he operates a small recycling and removal service. He hopes to be able to grow his business and help develop other service-industry business ideas.

The Robert Minue Memorial Scholarship was established by the Rouse-Minue family in honor of Robert “Bob” Minue, who enjoyed a 30-year career with the Massachusetts State Board of Retirement, and who was respected as a reformer who understood the provisions of retirement law and implemented them with personal empathy. The scholarship assists an MCC student pursing a degree in business administration.

MCC is one of the largest, most comprehensive community colleges in the state. We offer more than 75 degree and certificate programs, plus hundreds of noncredit courses, during the day, evening and weekend, on our Bedford and Lowell campuses, and online. Middlesex – a great place to begin your future.
