Volunteers are needed to fill vacancies on several appointed Town committees.
Current openings include:
- Arbor Resources
- Depot Park Advisory
- Finance Committee (as of July 1)
- Historic District Commission (architect or builder background requested)
- Historical Museum Study
- Land Acquisition
The activities of these committees are as diverse as their names. From working to protect the public trees and shrubs in town, to preparing the Town’s budget for Town Meeting review and approval, to hearing applications for work on private properties in the Center of Town Historic District, the vacant positions are all important to the functioning of the Town.
Residents interested in applying should contact members of the Volunteer Coordinating Committee by logging onto the VCC page of the Town’s website, www.bedfordma.gov, and filling out a Volunteer Questionnaire for one or more position. Questionnaires are also available from the Town Manager’s office.
