With another 4 to 6 inches of snow predicted for later today, do a good deed before you put your shovel or snow blower away: Clear the fire hydrant nearest your house.
According to the Bedford DPW, there are approximately 850 hydrants in town, so many hands will be helpful in keeping our community safe. It won’t take long, and the benefit of an accessible hydrant could be a life (or house!) saver.
