St. Paul’s Weekday Nursery School unveiled their new playground on May 10. Led by Lee Frank, the director, all of the students in the 3 day and the 5 day program cut the ribbon.

The grand opening was the culmination of community fundraising and volunteer efforts. St. Paul’s is very grateful to all the families past and present who have donated their time and money.  One wonderful story of generosity was of a young boy whose family received a letter asking for a contribution. Remembering his St. Paul’s Weekday Nursery School experience fondly he wanted to take money from his piggy bank to help build the playground. The future business man convinced his brother to give some money. His parents were so impressed that they matched their children’s donation, as did their grandparents.

St-Pauls-playground-2The new playground replaces equipment which was 50 years old. The play area encompasses an area of about 2500 square feet. It includes a play structure with 4 slides and two letter panels, a sandbox, and a double bay swing set with 4 swings.

A welcoming school for all children, St. Paul’s Weekday Nursery School serves children ages 2.9 to 5.  Located at 100 Pine Hill Road in Bedford, it is best described as a “Traditional” Preschool. St. Paul’s is a warm and caring atmosphere that provides experiences for each child to develop growth in social/emotional, cognitive, language and physical developmental areas. St. Paul’s encourages a child to be articulate, self-confident, independent and empathetic.

Enrollment for the 2013-14 school year is underway and applications are currently being accepted for remaining spots. Please call (781)275-1383 for more information about enrollment.
